First week of classes – arrange who on staff will present spring class and club presentations (continue through the semester as new requests come in)
Mid-January – complete selection and placement for Altria interns; submit hiring paperwork
End of month – AFA Food Institute

Up to three days before CALS HOT Jobs Fair – Pre-Career Fair Resume Day
Wednesday or Thursday after Spring Break – CALS HOT Jobs Fair

Week after Spring Break – begin recruiting for next year’s CALS Career Coaches

April 1 – Book Talley/Witherspoon space for fall events
Early April – AFA Animal Institute
Last week – set up staff summer counseling availability on ePACK
Last two weeks of April – begin training for next year’s CALS Career Coaches

Second week – confirm budget for AFA activities for next year

Review content of presentations/workshop to determine areas for improvement
Review online career resources and update/improve as needed
Review/revise CALS Career Guide and republish as needed
First week – work with Loren Fisher to set up end-of-internship presentations for Altria interns (usually 1st week of August)
July
Mid-July – AFA Crop Science Institute
August
First week – set up fall counseling availability on ePACK for all staff & Career Coaches
First week – reach out to CALS faculty about class presentations and resume/mock interview night events this fall
First week – Altria interns final presentations
First week of classes – reach out to club presidents/advisors about club presentations this fall
First week of classes – arrange who on staff will present fall class and club presentations (continue through the semester as new requests come in)
First week of classes – Marketing push for AFA Leaders Conference applications
Weekend after classes start – CALS Career Coaches training/bonding retreat (plan departmental networking events for fall)
