Overall Responsibilities
- CALS HONORS
- Recruit new CALS Honors students
- Host CALS Honors welcome event
- Make arrangements for ALS 398H
- Responsible for submitting grades
- Enroll students in ALS 398H, 498H and 499H
- CALS Honors Symposium
- Manage CALS H databases
- Chair the CALS Honors Committee
- Monitor CALS H participant grades
- THOMAS JEFFERSON SCHOLARS
- Recruit new Thomas Jefferson Scholars
- Conduct interviews
- Select new scholars
- Conduct fundraising/work with the TJS alumni group
- Plan spring trip and fall international trip
- Manage scholarship disbursement
- Recruit and retain faculty mentors
- Monitor and manage participating students
- Host TJS banquet and graduation celebration
- CALS CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS
- Support Agri-Life Council
- Maintain CALS clubs and organizations website
- Assist CALS clubs and organizations with serving their missions
- GRADUATE PROGRAM
- Create long-term CALS Graduate Program Plan
- Implement plan
- Increase financial support for graduate students.
- Increase graduate recruiting.
- Improve graduate program metrics.
- Increase percentage of under-represented graduate students.
- Increase professional development opportunities for graduate students.
- Update departmental graduate programs.
- Increase support for faculty and for Directors of Graduate Programs (DGPs).
- SUMMER SCHOOL
- Manage and distribute summer resource
- DISTANCE EDUCATION
- Develop long-term DE plan
- Manage, project and distribute distance education resources
- NON-CREDIT COURSES
- Assist departments with offering non-credit courses.
