Recruiter
Overall responsibilities
- Manage CALS Spend a Day at State program (set up meetings, class observations, Pack Chats, lunches in a dining hall, and other scheduling as needed)
- Coordinate and implement admitted student events (WISE, Park Finalists, Experience NC State)
- Attend on-campus recruiting events and manage recruiting requests (Fall Open House, College Advising Corps requests, other internal career fairs)
- Attend off-campus recruiting events (career fairs, high school classroom visits, other events/programs as needed)
- Manage field trip requests from middle and high schools; coordinate their visits to CALS, set up interactive experiences and information sessions
- Manage CALS Nominate a Student database and website
- Support CALS departments in their recruiting needs and yield activities
- Provide advice and guidance to applicants and their families
- Coordinate strategic in state travel to expose a wide audience to CALS’ academic programs and opportunities
- Assist in training CALS Ambassador team
- Gather and assess admissions data and historical student data records to inform departments on their recruiting priorities
- Manage mailing of applicant letters
- Travel across NC to high schools for career fairs and classroom visits for recruiting purposes
- Work with high school teachers, school counselors, parents/guardians and other student advocates to share key messages about the NC State admission process and CALS pathways
- Serve as supervisor to Zoe Finch our Recruiting Support Specialist
Spend a Day at State (every Friday and select Mondays in Fall and Spring semesters)

Educational outreach events (vary…but examples include the NC Science and Engineering Fair, the CVM’s Open House, Hispanic Educational Summit, and more)
